Accurate drawings are the backbone of a well organised project.

After the initial visit there are still a variety of decisions to be made and drawings to be produced to demonstrate what the intentions for your project are. The more information you have, the more in control you are and by utilising the experience and knowledge of an Architect you will enhance the outcome of your renovation and ultimately optimize your investment.

Architect Your Home are the experts in domestic architecture who produce properly considered house plans and drawings, so that your scheme will be built as you intended both in terms of quality and budget.

What do we deliver?

Following on from your initial visit we can organise a measured survey of your existing property so that your Architect can produce house plans or ‘scheme’ level drawings which are an accurate, scaled representation of the work you want to carry out, suitable for planning or permitted development applications and basic budget discussions with a builder.

With some further development and addition of the necessary information to show the proposal complies with current building standards, these drawings can be used to make a building regulations application.

Scheme level drawings provide the backbone of what is needed for most projects but they are NOT construction drawings as significantly more detail needs to be added for them to qualify as such.

I was impressed because I knew exactly what I would pay for the services I required and I could pick and choose which ones were right for me.

Detail drawings communicate to your builder exactly what you want built and make up part of the ‘pricing (tender) package’ which enables him to give you a much more accurate price for the work as he can understand the scope and quality of finish required.

While it is not necessary to detail everything, where there are specific requirements / layouts or awkward junctions it is advisable to have a drawn detail of how it will be built, as without this your builder will have to make it up himself which might not be quite what you had in mind.

I was impressed because I knew exactly what I would pay for the services I required and I could pick and choose which ones were right for me.
