A humble bungalow is transformed into an impressive contemporary home

Now that we have been in our house for 3 months, we just wanted to say thank you for all the great work you did in helping to create our new home. We absolutely love it.

Maria K. Esher

New build home in Weybridge

When you find the perfect spot but not the perfect house it is an opportunity to build your ideal home.

Here the customer knew where they wanted to live and the size and type of house they’d like to live in but were lost when it came to the rest so they looked to Architect Your Home to fill in the blanks.

A place for entertaining

The magic that was created here was that the architect responded to the customer’s wish for a great space for entertaining by creating a series of interconnecting spaces.

This gave a flow through the house that was perfect for entertaining but when the guests had all gone the various areas were small enough to feel intimate and homely.

The Result

For every customer there is particular ingredient that will make their home perfect for them, it might be a beautiful en-suite bathroom, or a walk-in wardrobe, or, as it was for this customer, an impressive entrance hall and staircase.

The Drawings

We can see from the sketch how the staircase was designed to wrap around the imposing double height space, past the full height picture window and up to a first floor gallery which provides access to the bedrooms.
