Project description

The client wanted an open, modern environment, overlapping the kitchen/dining/living spaces to give a spacious feeling and views down the length of the house through to the garden beyond. The sense of height was maximised with tall doors and windows. The only barrier across the house is the staircase that is made as a special sculptural piece, suspended on fine steel wires through which the views along the house are framed. Upstairs, more tall doors enhance the height while the generous bathroom includes large mirrors over the twin vanity unit and a sliding glass shower screen over the bath that can be rolled right across the front of the large airing cupboard that contains the boiler and washing machine.
