"I am very pleased with the work Architect Your Home did for us. Our architect understood what we wanted to achieve and used his own ideas along with ours."

Project type
Reconfiguration of internal space
Project description
This beautiful stone barn had over the past 3 decades undergone a series of conversions, which left its ground floor layout disjointed, and its upstairs almost unusable. The entrance hall was opened up (previously occupied by a cloakroom and a laundry) into a magnificent double height space. A huge window was used to bring in light and views from the garden and a stunning spiral staircase carries you upstairs. The walls were restored to their original stone and the bedrooms above were joined with a lightweight timber and glass bridge. Wide oak floorboards, simple decoration and lighting were used to create a warm, luxurious yet contemporary interior that feels completely at ease with its ancient exterior
