Project description

This client purchased a 5-bedroom semi-detached house which was in need of considerable refurbishment. The brief was to open up the living spaces of the house, in particular the lower ground floor as well as maximise daylight and give the property some much needed unity. The solution involved demolition of an existing rear extension and replacement with a glazed two-storey atrium at the rear of the house. The new arrangement allowed much better use of the existing spaces and the vertical connection of spaces to the rear of the house brought the beautiful upper ground floor rooms into a meaningful connection with the new family room/kitchen on lower ground level.
