Project description

This house was newly built on a site with space constraints which meant that it was built right up to the boundary line. Because the number of windows was limited due to the proximity of the boundaries the client wanted to find a way to maximise the light as much as possible.
The solution was to bring daylight down through the roof and create a layout that would allow the light into all rooms.
Note: Some aspects of this design would no longer be permissible under new building regulations. Your architect will be able to advise you on building regulations.
